Timelines vary based on the size of the company (as measured by market capitalisation) and whether the symbol is a new listing or an already-listed security.

Market Cap Priorities

QuoteMedia uses a 7-tier market cap classification system to prioritise data processing. The table below maps each tier and the market cap thresholds that apply per region.

Shares Outstanding

The total number of shares of a company that have been issued and are currently held by all shareholders.

Float - Corp. Action Related Changes

Updates to a company's publicly tradeable share count resulting from corporate actions.

Float - Calculated 

The derived count of a company's publicly tradeable shares.

Financial Line Items

The individual revenue, expense, asset, liability, and cash flow figures reported in a company's quarterly and annual financial statements.

Non-Financial Fundamentals

Descriptive company information reported in regulatory filings, such as executive and board details, employee count, auditor information, and compensation data.

EPS (Earnings Per Share)

A company's net profit divided by the number of outstanding shares, reported on a per-share basis following each earnings period.

Key Ratios

Derived financial metrics calculated from a company's financial statements once they have been processed.

Industry Classification

Standardised sector, group, and industry category assignments for a company, used to group and compare it against peers.

Institutional & Fund Ownership

Reported holdings data showing which institutional investors and funds hold positions in a company's shares.

Insider Transactions

Records of share purchases, sales, and other transactions by a company's directors, executives, and other insiders, as reported to regulators.

Short Interest

The total number of shares of a company that have been sold short and not yet covered, reflecting the level of bearish sentiment among market participants.

Company Profile Data

Core descriptive attributes of a company, including its name, address, website, description, and other reference information.
